The day is one thing. The apps are five.
Across Africa the tools people rely on are scattered — one app for messaging, another for news, another for power schedules, another for study material. And when someone feels unsafe, there's no quick way to reach the people who matter; just three apps and a phone call that takes too long.
Connex started from a plain observation: power cuts are not an inconvenience here — they shape business, school and safety. Community warnings shouldn't drown in social feeds. Past papers shouldn't sit behind paywalls during exam season. And help should be one hold of a button away.
So we're building the whole day into one app — not a copy of something made elsewhere and localised as an afterthought, but a product whose every screen starts from how life on this continent actually runs.
Connex is infrastructure for connection: a place where communities talk, coordinate and look after each other.
